Morocco's COVID-19 cases surpass 400,000

RABAT, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Morocco registered 1,217 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, taking the tally in the North African country to 400,826, the health ministry said in a statement.

It also reported 35 new deaths from the coronavirus, raising the death toll in Morocco to 6,659.

The tally of recoveries in Morocco increased by 3,042 to 359,065 in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,039 patients are in intensive care units.

A total of 3,803,586 samples have been tested for COVID-19 since March 2.

The COVID-19 fatality rate in Morocco stands at 1.7 percent while the recovery rate is 89.6 percent. Enditem
