SYDNEY, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- Sydneysiders will be able to taste their way around the world without leaving the city and celebrate Lunar New Year at the inaugural of In Good Taste festival.

The festival, which is scheduled from Feb. 12 to 27, will feature some of Sydney's best cuisines and various activities including bush tucker walks with an indigenous master chef and a "Little Lunar" night out to welcome in the Year of the Ox.

Georges River Council Mayor Kevin Greene said after a tough year being apart, the In Good Taste festival is a perfect opportunity for everyone to share the experience of food and culture.

"It wouldn't be a festive February without eating plenty of fabulous food," said Greene.

"Whether it is savouring our dreamtime flavors, Lunar New Year's dumplings, dragon beard candy, multicultural banquets, or delicious biscuits for our loyal pet friends, In Good Taste has something for everyone."

As the start date of the festival marks the beginning of the Year of the Ox, visitors have the opportunity to try celebratory dishes from countries such as China and Malaysia, enjoy lion dance performances and learn more about the traditions of the Lunar New Year. Enditem
