Thailand reports 965 new COVID-19 cases

BANGKOK, April 13 (Xinhua) -- Thailand recorded 965 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing its total tally to 34,575 with 97 deaths, its Center for the COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said Tuesday.

This is the third consecutive day for the Southeast Asian country to record daily cases at nearly 1,000.

Of the new cases, 956 were local transmitted infections and nine were imported cases, the center said.

So far, 28,288 COVID-19 patients have fully recovered from the coronavirus epidemic and been released from hospitals in Thailand. There are currently 6,190 active cases being treated in hospitals. Enditem
