Zambia discharges 12 COVID-19 patients

LUSAKA, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Health authorities in Zambia on Wednesday discharged 12 people from COVID-19 isolation centers after they recovered from the disease.

Those who were discharged include five health workers, bringing the total number of people who have recovered to 54 while 40 are still in admission.

Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya said the health workers conducted 355 tests in the last 24 hours. Meanwhile, Zambia has registered two more cases, bringing the total to 97.

The country has reported three COVID-19 deaths. Enditem
