FREETOWN, May 24 (Xinhua) -- Sierra Leone's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mamadi Gobeh Kamara said Monday that her government is appreciative of the support of China for the development of Sierra Leone.
She made the remarks while receiving the Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone Hu Zhangliang. The deputy minister thanked China for the support provided to Sierra Leone in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, noting that China was one of the first countries to provide such support.
She assured Hu that the ministry will provide the necessary support needed to ensure a successful commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, while thanking the Chinese ambassador for his efforts in ensuring the speedy conclusion of the country's Diplomatic Academy project.
