Powerful quake kills 3, causes damage in Indonesia's East Java province

JAKARTA, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- A powerful shallow quake of revised 6.3 Richter scale rocked East Java province in western parts of Indonesia earlier Thursday, killing three people and damaging scores of houses, officials of the meteorology and geophysics agency and disaster agency told Xinhua over phone.
