HANOI, April 7 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's Ministry of Health on Tuesday late afternoon confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 infection, bringing the total in the country to 249.
The four new cases, all Vietnamese, include three people recently returning from abroad and a person reportedly in contact with earlier confirmed patients, said the ministry.
The health ministry said on Tuesday that 27 COVID-19 patients have recovered, bringing the total cured cases in the country to 122.
Vietnam has reported 2,601 suspected cases with over 85,000 being monitored and quarantined as of Tuesday evening, according to the ministry.
