MANILA, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- At least eight people were injured, one critically, on Saturday after an attacker threw a grenade at spectators in Maguindanao province in the southern Philippines, a military spokesman said.
Army Lt. Col. John Paul Baldomar said the attack occurred at around 3:30 p.m. local time inside the Datu Piang town's indoor sports court. The victims were spectators of a volleyball game, he added.
The spokesman said an investigation is underway to determine the motive for the attack. No group has claimed responsibility for the incident. Enditem
