Brunei reports 188 new COVID-19 cases, 7,904 in total

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Brunei reported 188 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringing the total tally to 7,904.

According to Brunei's Ministry of Health, all the new cases were local infections. While the source of 94 of the local cases is still under investigation, six new clusters have been detected, bringing the total number of active clusters to 142.

There are currently 2,343 active cases being treated and monitored at the National Isolation Center. A total of 5,501 recoveries as well as 69 deaths have so far been reported from the COVID-19 pandemic in the Southeast Asian country. Enditem
