LONDON, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Learner drivers in Britain will have to pass a new type of theory test including three multiple-choice questions based on a short video from April 14, the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) has said.

The new theory test will be applied across the country to make it more accessible, especially to people with reading difficulty, learning disability and developmental condition, said the DVSA.

Video clips will now replace some written scenarios in the tests to make it fairer. Under the current system, people have to read a case study and then answer five questions about it.

All car theory tests, excluding motorbike, lorry and bus or coach tests, among others, will use video clips from this date, said the DVSA.

Some 17 million theory tests have been conducted in Britain over the past 10 years.
