ANKARA, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Turkey on Monday announced 37 more deaths from COVID-19, while the total number of infection cases in the country has risen to 10,827.

A total of 168 people have died from the novel coronavirus, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca tweeted.

Turkey conducted 11,535 tests for the virus in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of tests to 76,981, the minister said.

A total of 725 patients are being treated in intensive care units and 523 are intubated, Koca said, adding 162 patients have recovered.

On March 11, Turkey reported its first COVID-19 case.
