Cinema: Piccolo America brings global stars back to Italy Programme features Mathieu Kassovitz, Audrey Tautou among guests

(ANSA) - ROME, JUL 2 - The 'Ragazzi del Piccolo America' cinema association is bringing back international stars to Italy with its 2020 programme of free summer film screenings in Rome's squares. Indeed, the new programme, which was presented on Thursday after the problems caused by the coronavirus emergency, features Oscar-winning filmmaker Pawel Pawlikowski, American History X director Tony Kaye, German directors Jan-Ole Gerster and Dennis Gansel, and the actors Audrey Tautou and Mathieu Kassovitz, who will present the film they star in together - Amélie. The programme starts on Friday, July 3 with the presentation in Piazza San Cosimato of Paolo Virzì's debut movie, La Bella Vita, which has been digitalized for the occasion by the Cineteca Nazionale film library. The film will be introduced by the director himself and lead actors Sabrina Ferilli, Claudio Bigagli and Massimo Ghini. On July 9 the programme will be at the arena in Cervelletta park and on July 18 it will be the turn of the big screen in the port of Ostia. (ANSA).
