Zhao Shuhuan (2nd R) introduces technical demand at his workshop in Dongtai Village of Zhutai Township in Zibo, east China's Shandong Province, May 22, 2017. The 54-year-old Zhao has had leg disability since childhood. As he grew elder and the reduction of demand for carpentry, Zhao brought himself to poverty. Two years ago, local poverty alleviation department helped Zhao to build a workshop and to buy cutting and polishing machines as one targeted measure in poverty alleviation campaigns. It also found a booth at a furniture market for him. Sales volume of Zhao's carpentry workshop has surpassed 100,000 yuan (about 14,513 U.S. dollars) since last May. The workshop also provided job vacancies for three villagers in poverty. Currently, Zhao is planning to do on-line sales to promote his carpentry products. (Xinhua/Xu Suhui)
