BEIJING, Aug. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- The United States, Canada and Mexico on August 16 kicked off the first round of renegotiations on the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) amid widespread uncertainty and anxiety over the future of the 23-year-old trilateral trade deal.
A second round of talks is to take place in Mexico in early September, with negotiations expected to continue through the end of the year.
