Hundreds injured as platform collapses at concert in Spain

MADRID, Aug. 13 (Xinhua) -- Around 300 people were injured after a wooden platform collapsed during a music festival in Spain, local officials said Monday.

The platform was thronged with people watching a rap artist in Vigo, a town in northwestern Spain, before it collapsed before midnight on Sunday, Vigo Mayor Abel Caballero said at the scene.

"The causes have yet to be determined. Everything indicates that no one is trapped underneath," he said.
