Dollar changes hands in upper 110 yen range in early Tokyo deals

TOKYO, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar changed hands in the upper 110 yen zone in early deals in Tokyo on Tuesday, largely in line with its levels in New York overnight.

As markets opened here, the dollar was quoted at 110.64-65 yen compared with 110.68-78 yen in New York and 110.18-20 yen at 5 p.m. on Monday in Tokyo.

The euro, meanwhile, fetched 1.1400-1401 dollars and 126.13-15 yen against 1.1404-1414 dollars and 126.26-36 yen in New York and 1.1374-1375 dollars and 125.32-36 yen in late Monday afternoon trade in Tokyo.
