NEW DELHI, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- At least seven workers were injured after an under-construction bridge over a river collapsed in the northeastern Indian state of Manipur Wednesday, police said.
The incident took place in the state's Jiribam district when a group of workers were involved in the construction work of the bailey bridge over Gorkhale river to connect the villages of Borberkra and Jattarpur.
"The seven injured have been admitted to a hospital in the neighboring state of Assam. All are out of danger," a police official said.
A probe has been ordered into the incident, he added.
