LONDON, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- British Prime Minister Theresa May on Wednesday accused Russian intelligence officers of attempted murder of a former spy and his daughter with a nerve agent.

She told the parliament that the two men identified as suspects in the Salisbury poisonings are members of Russia's military intelligence service and the poisonings were almost certainly approved outside the service at a senior level.

Two Russian men were on Wednesday named as suspects in the attempted murder of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in March.

Russia has been denying any involvement in the event.
