LODZ, Poland, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese primary school on Tuesday signed a friendly school cooperation agreement with a counterpart in central Poland's Lodz, enabling their students to experience cultural exchanges in the future.

The cooperation deal was signed between Chengdu Qingbaijiang Foreign Language Primary School from southwest China and the First Primary School in Lodz.

In the eyes of Luo Bin, principal of Qingbaijiang Foreign Language Primary School, the deal represents a further development of the links between the two cities where the two schools are from after the launch of a cargo train connection between them in 2013.

"I hope, in the future, there will be more exchanges and visits between our schools, teachers and students. More exchange of educational concepts will allow deeper cooperation between the two schools," said the Chinese headmaster.

Magdalena Dynars, the headmistress of the First Primary School in Lodz, also welcomed the signing, saying "I believe that this cooperation will allow for the implementation of important projects, will allow pupils to learn about the culture, tradition and customs of Chinese friends."

The cooperation agreement includes mutual visits, participation of students in classes organized by the other school and communication via internet.

Actually, exchanges between the two schools started on the exact day of the signing of the deal.

On Tuesday, the children from both schools gave a performance, including singing, dancing and poetry reciting.

The Polish pupils were also given Chinese language classes, during which they were introduced by a Chinese teacher about Chengdu's food, panda and many other features of the city.
