TUNIS, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed gave instructions to mobilize 25 million dinars (8.9 million U.S. dollars) on Wednesday for Nabeul province in northeast Tunisia which was affected by recent heavy rains.

"An urgent intervention plan has already been put in place to redevelop infrastructures and educational, public and security institutions damaged by this natural disaster," Chahed pointed out after a small ministerial council held in Nabeul.

Chahed insisted that a draft law should be put under review, as soon as possible, for reimbursement and compensation in both agricultural and industrial sectors.

The heavy rains fell in Nabeul governorate on Sept. 22, reaching 197 millimeters, which caused floods, the death of six people and significant infrastructure damages.
