STOCKHOLM, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Around 750 travelers from Sweden are stranded in Italy, Greece and Spain as Scandinavian airline Primera Air declares bankruptcy, the Swedish Television SVT reported on Monday.

Primera Air operated as the airline of the Swedish travel agency Solresor. The bankruptcy was announced on the airline's website and all scheduled flights will be cancelled from Tuesday midnight onwards.

"Our priority are the travelers that will travel in the coming week. We now expect that everyone will come home on the day they should be home," Solresor press spokesman said to SVT.

The passengers stranded in Europe will fly home with other airlines, although, Solresor said it was possible that some will have to stay for an extra night since the flights of other airlines are beyond their control.

Last week, Primera Air was blacklisted in two of Sweden's consumer magazines. Travel businesses that do not return their customer's money for delayed flights are listed, for example. According to SVT, the airline has had financial problems for the past two years.

Primera Air operated from Stockholm, Gothenburg and Copenhagen in Denmark.
