YANGON, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's police authorities have seized a total of 2.886 million tablets WY stimulants worth of 5.772 billion kyats (3.85 million U.S. dollars) in Buthidaung, western Rakhine state, said a release of the Myanmar Police Force on Monday.

The seizure was made on a Hilux truck parking on the roadside in Myoma ward on Sunday and 1.911 million tablets WY stimulants were first found hidden in 55 charcoal bags.

Further investigation led to the seizure of 975,000 more tablets of such stimulants hidden in 13 charcoal bags at a residential house in Buthidaung, the release said, adding that four suspects were being charged for the drug trafficking case in accordance with Myanmar's anti-drug law.

In August, Myanmar police authorities had seized 2.9 million U.S. dollars worth of stimulant tablets at the entry/exit gate in Buthidaung of the state.

That seizure was made when the police searched a motor vehicle VOXY and found the stimulants hidden in a bag at the rear part of the vehicle.

Two people were charged by the police in that connection.
