BANGKOK, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad is paying a two-day visit to Thailand until Thursday.
The Malaysian premier met with his Thai counterpart Prayut Chan-o-cha at the Government House on Wednesday during which both sides discussed issues pertaining to regional security, connectivity and economic partnerships, besides ASEAN cooperation frameworks.
The Malaysian leader is scheduled to meet with Thailand's Privy Council President Prem Tinsulanonda and to deliver a key-note speech on the topic of ASEAN Collaboration at Chulalongkorn University on Thursday.
Mahathir became Malaysia's premier for the second time last May. Malaysia shares border with southern Thailand.
