BERLIN, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- The first China International Import Expo (CIIE) in Shanghai will benefit the global economy, President and CEO of BMW Group Region China Jochen Goller said on Monday.

"CIIE is one of the key initiatives to enhance China's domestic consumption and to benefit the global economy," Goller told Xinhua in a written interview.

BMW Group is among of the first batch of multinational companies to confirm its participation to CIIE. Goller will attend the event and the associated forum on BMW's behalf.

Looking forward, Goller said that BMW will introduce more products to meet upgrading needs of Chinese consumer, which resonates with the core purpose of CIIE.
