SINGAPORE, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks closed lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) went down 0.49 percent or 15.27 points to close at 3077.97.
A total of 1.73 billion shares changed hands with a turnover of 1.03 billion Singapore dollars (about 751.4 million U.S. dollars). Losers outnumbered gainers by 229 to 145.
The STI index went up 0.91 percent or 27.88 points to close at 3093.24 Thursday.
