KIEV, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- Seven political parties could win seats in the Ukrainian parliament in the next year's elections, a public opinion poll showed on Tuesday.

According to the survey jointly conducted by the Kiev International Institute of Sociology, Razumkov Center and Rating sociological group, the Fatherland party led by opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko would receive 22 percent of voter support if the elections take place in the near future.

The other major contenders in the elections are the newly-established party Servant of the People and the Civil Position party of opposition politician Anatoly Hrytsenko, with 11 percent and 10 percent of the votes respectively.

The incumbent ruling party Petro Poroshenko Bloc, which supports the Ukrainian President, would get nearly eight percent.

The survey was carried out from Oct. 19 to Nov. 2 among 10,000 adults living in different parts of Ukraine.

Parliamentary elections in Ukraine have been set for Oct. 27, 2019. A party must obtain at least five percent of the vote to enter parliament.
