PRETORIA, Nov. 13 (Xinhua) -- South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) is holding a two-day workshop with the E10 members of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to gear up for the country's 2019-2020 term as a non-permanent member of the UNSC.

The attendees are from incoming, current and outgoing elected E10 members. They are sharing experiences and ideas among the elected members of the UNSC for better coordination on the work of the council. They are also discussing the challenges and opportunities, way forward and how the views of the civil society could be incorporated and channeled to the UNSC.

"The dialogue is an unprecedented engagement. It brings together, in a unique setting, the elected members of the United Nations Security Council to discuss issues of mutual cooperation and opportunities for better coordination," said Lindiwe Sisulu, Minister of DIRCO, at the workshop.

The workshops started in Pretoria on Tuesday and will end on Wednesday.
