One person arrested in BiH over terrorist group formation

SARAJEVO, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Members of Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH's) State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) arrested one person here on Thursday night over terrorist group formation.

During the raid at the Sarajevo International Airport, one person was deprived of liberty and charged of "organization of a terrorist group", "preparation of criminal offense" -- all in conjunction with the criminal offense of "terrorism", SIPA said on its website Friday.

The detained person is suspected of being, since July 1, 2013, in the war-affected area of Syria and Iraq as a member of the terrorist organizations Al-Nusra Front and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).

Due to the sensitivity of the case, SIPA did not reveal the nationality of the arrested person.

The person was taken into the premises of SIPA and the criminal processing is conducted currently. .

On Sept. 14 this year, SIPA members arrested one person for allegedly organizing a terrorist group and unlawful formation.
