YANGON, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- A world-touring upcycling exhibition "Pure Gold" is set to take place in Myanmar's downtown Yangon on Dec. 15, the official Global New Light of Myanmar reported Thursday.

The international touring exhibition, to be held at the Secretariat Building, will last until Jan. 6, 2019.

The exhibition aims to bring public awareness of transforming rubbish into useful objects through art and design.

The exhibition will feature 76 exhibits by 53 designers from all over the world and works created by the international design artists will be showcased with presentations and workshops organized by the local artists, designers and artisans.

The "DO IT YOURSELF" stations will also be displayed at the exhibition for the visitors to transform waste into objects on their own while local artists and artisans will demonstrate their artworks at the exhibition.

Myanmar is the fourth country of hosting such exhibition after the "Pure Gold" was held in Germany's Hamburg, England's London and Thailand's Bangkok, respectively.
