TUNIS, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- Tunisia has recorded 746 social protest movements until November this year, down from 1,039 of the same period last year, Tunisian Social Observatory (OST) said on Thursday.
However, last month, social protest movements increased in four provinces, namely Sidi Bouzid in central Tunisia, Sfax in southeast Tunisia, Kasserine in west-central Tunisia and Nabeul in northeast Tunisia, said the OST.
The main social demands of the protesters in theses regions are improvement of rights, job opportunities and supply of drinking water.
