BERLIN, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Don't cry over spilt milk. But what if it's 15,000 liters of it? Ask a German driver whose milk truck's drainage taps were opened, causing a massive leakage.
The driver said he parked the truck in the town of Ruethen, Westphalia on Saturday evening to collect more milk from nearby farms. When he came back, about of 15,000 liters of milk had spilt across the road.
Because the local temperature at that time was about minus 4 degrees Celsius, all the spilt milk froze.
The fire department said the milk formed a slippery surface that covered the entire road and as many as 20 officers were deployed to remove it.
The police said on Sunday that they are still investigating the incident.
