TIRIN KOT, Afghanistan, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- At least four militants have been confirmed dead as government forces stormed a Taliban hideout in the southern Uruzgan province on Saturday, said an army statement released here on Sunday.
According to the statement, the government forces' fighting aircraft targeted a Taliban hideout in Abarda area outside provincial capital Tirin Kot on Saturday afternoon, killing four insurgents on the spot.
Huge quantity of arms and ammunitions of the insurgents were destroyed, the statement said.
Taliban militants are yet to make a comment.
