Militants' ambush kills senior police officer, 2 others in N. Afghanistan

TALUQAN, Afghanistan, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Anti-government militants took an ambush against police officers in the northern Takhar province on Sunday, claiming three lives including a senior police officer, provincial government spokesman Mohammad Jawad Hajiri said.
