LeBron James expected to miss several games due to injury

WASHINGTON, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is likely to miss multiple games due to a strained left groin, according to reporters from ESPN.

The 33-year-old picked up the injury in the Lakers' 127-101 home victory over the defending champions Golden State Warriors, where he had 17 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists before leaving the game in the third quarter.

Staying in Los Angeles while the team travelled to Sacromento to face the Kings, Lebron James has to see his consecutive appearance record stop at 156.

James averaged 27.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and 7.1 assists in his first 34 games for the Lakers after the blockbuster move from Cleveland last summer.
