House Democrats have reportedly prepared a plan to end the ongoing partial shutdown of the U.S. federal government, without funding for President Donald Trump's border wall. The lower chamber is planning to pass a stopgap spending bill Thursday when the new Congress convenes to fund the Department of Homeland Security at current levels through Feb. 8, with 1.3 billion U.S. dollars for border fencing and other security measures, reported several news outlets on Monday, citing congressional sources.
