YANGON, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- A "Made in Myanmar" exhibition will be underway at Myawsin Island in Kandawgyi Park in Myanmar's Yangon at the weekend days, aimed at promoting local products, enhancing their quality and helping producers hone their business skill.

According to event organizer Daw Wai Mar Tun, the exhibition, planned for Jan. 4 to 6, will enhance the image of locally made products through the expo and introducing products made by local small and medium enterprises (SME) to the public.

The exhibition will feature 133 stalls under five categories, namely food and beverages, fashion and cosmetics, souvenir and handicrafts, pharmacy and other services.

The event will also serve as an opportunity for vendors wanting to introduce their products to customers and SME to expand their businesses through the expo, she said, adding that the event will be the first of its kind showcasing "Made in Myanmar" products.
