BANGKOK, Jan. 5 (Xinhua) -- Ferry boats resumed shuttling travelers to and from Koh Samui archipelago in the Gulf of Thailand on Saturday as tropical storm Pabuk has gone.

Aphichart Chayophat, Raja Ferry Co. managing director, said on Saturday that the firm's ferry boat service has returned to normal, shuttling tourists and other passengers between Koh Samui island, Koh Pha-ngan island and the coastal Don Sak district of Surat Thani province in southern Thailand.

The ferry boat service had been temporarily suspended for passengers' safety reasons in the face of the tropical storm which has already become a depression, leaving the Gulf of Thailand for the Andaman Sea on Saturday.

Meanwhile, another ferry boat service, Royal Passengers Liner, is expected to resume shuttling passengers between Pattaya and Hua Hin across the Gulf of Thailand very shortly.
