Three killed in car accident in northern Azerbaijan

BAKU, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed Thursday in a car crash in northern Azerbaijan, according to the state-run news agency AZERTAC.

Two people died on the spot while the other died on route to hospital after a VAZ passenger car collided with a Ford van on a snow-covered road in Guba district.

One critically injured person was admitted to regional hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident.
