TOKYO, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks bounced back Tuesday morning on hopes for further positive earnings in the financial sector in the United States, with investors snapping up domestic issues on the cheap following their earlier retreat.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 184.94 points, or 0.91 percent, from Friday to 20,544.64.
