KANDHAR, Afghanistan, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- At least four policemen were killed in an insider attack in southern Kandahar province on Wednesday, police said.
"The gruesome incident happened early Wednesday in Panjawai district's Mishan area when two policemen, allegedly the Taliban infiltrators opened fire on four of their colleagues inside their checkpoint, killing them on the spot and fled the area," a provincial police spokesman Qasim Azad told Xinhua.
Police have started investigation into the case, added the spokesman.
The Taliban group has yet to make a comment on the report.
