TUNIS, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Over 3,000 leading economic experts and politicians in Africa will attend the second Global Forum for Financing Investment and Trade in Africa (FITA), which will be held in Tunis on Feb. 5-6, according to the planners of the forum Friday.

Organized by Tunisia-Africa Business Council (TABC), this forum will involve some 100 global financial institutions including the World Bank, the African Development Bank (BAD) and the Islamic Development Bank.

During a recent press conference, President of the TABC Board Bassem Loukil confirmed that after the success of the first edition in 2018, FITA 2019 aims to assess the current situation in trade, investment and financing in Tunisia as well as in Africa.

Loukil said several participants in this forum would seek to explore the potentials that Africa offers in the area of financing investment in addition to creating a favorable environment encouraging partnerships between African organizations operating in economic development.

Loukil added that this forum will also be an opportunity for African countries to present their economic development plans and structural investment projects under the public-private partnership.
