HANOI, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam is recalling 88 Mitsubishi Outlander Sports cars manufactured from May 11 to July 18, 2015, to repair or replace their door locks.
A representative from the company said the internal lock function may not work properly, resulting in unsafety, the Vietnam News Agency reported on Friday.
According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers' Association, more than 288,600 automobiles were sold in the Vietnamese market in 2018, up nearly 6 percent from 2017.
Specifically, the sale of locally-assembled automobiles rose 11 percent, and that of imported vehicles dropped over 6 percent.
