ULAN BATOR, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- A 44-year-old driver was killed and two passengers injured when a cargo train hit their truck in eastern Mongolia early Friday, authorities said.
The accident occurred at around 2 a.m. local time (1800 GMT Thursday) near Airag soum, about 120 km northwest of Sainshand, the capital city of the southeastern province of Dornogovi, according to a statement from the local Emergency Management Agency.
The injured two were taken to a nearby hospital, the agency said, adding that the incident is under investigation.
