SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Global management and consulting giant Accenture Wednesday opened a flagship innovation hub in the landmark skyscraper Salesforce Tower in San Francisco to dive deeper into the market in the Bay Area.

Accenture, a Fortune Global 500 company, rented a five-floor space in San Francisco's highest tower in downtown city as the home to her 2,000 employees in the Bay Area, which is one of the company's biggest U.S. job centers, behind Chicago and New York.

Accenture said its multidisciplinary teams of designers, developers and other technology experts will work on innovation and other hi-tech projects in areas such as robotics, artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity and quantum computing.

The international consulting powerhouse said it plans to add at least 500 more tech jobs in the Bay Area by the end of 2020 as it continued to expand investment in the region.

"Building on our history of technology leadership in the Bay Area, this flagship hub helps clients develop and bring new solutions to market faster, making continuous innovation real, with tangible results," said Julie Sweet, Accenture's chief executive officer of North America.

Accenture serves its clients by offering strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations services via its vast network of 11 hubs and offices in North America that are linked to more than 100 locations around the world.

It operates offices in major U.S. cities including Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, New York and Seattle.
