KIEV, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- The Ukrainian government on Wednesday unveiled its 2018 top achievements, saying that sustainable economic development was the main result of its work.
In 2018, the Ukrainian economy grew by an estimated 3.2 percent, the state debt declined to 60.9 percent of the gross domestic product, while foreign currency reserves rose to the highest level in five years, according to a statement on the government website.
Besides, the government has improved the country's business environment, abolishing more than 700 obsolete regulations, the statement said.
The government support for the agriculture, including the subsidies for modernization of machinery and equipment, has helped the country's farmers to reap a record grain harvest of about 70 million tons.
Among its other major achievements in 2018, the government listed the fastest pace of road construction and repairs in 14 years, the reduction of dependence on imported energy sources and the reinforcement of the security sector.
