ISLAMABAD, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Mohammad Faisal said Monday the country's high commissioner in India was called back and left New Delhi Monday morning.
He said on his official Twitter that "we have called back our High Commissioner in India for consultations."
The announcement came after the two countries traded words over an attack last week in Indian-controlled Kashmir that left 40 paramilitary troopers dead. New Delhi blamed Islamabad for the attack, but the latter rejected the allegation.
