THE HAGUE, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- The Dutch police have arrested a 48-year-old man suspected of preparing a terrorist crime, the Dutch public prosecutor announced on Wednesday.
During the arrest made one and a half week ago in De Lutte, a village in the northeast of the Netherlands, police seized a firearm and munition, mobile phones, some documents and a laptop.
The police also investigated the man's residence in the northern province of Groningen.
The criminal investigation started on Feb. 15. According to the Dutch general intelligence and security service AIVD, the man is not only suspected of preparing a terrorist crime, but also of supporting ISIS.
The suspect has remained silent until now. The court in Rotterdam decided on Tuesday that he would stay in detention for at least 90 more days.
