TUNIS, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi sent a message of condolence to his Egyptian counterpart Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi, following the train crash in Cairo which killed and injured many people, a presidency statement said Wednesday.
"In his message, Essebsi expresses his deep sadness at the tragic accident that caused many victims, and conveys his deepest sympathy to the Egyptian president," it said.
A train locomotive crashed into the buffer stop at the end of rail track at the main railway station near Ramses square in the Egyptian capital Cairo and sparked a large fire, leaving 20 dead and 43 wounded.
