PRAGUE, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babis has suggested to his British counterpart Theresa May to organize a second Brexit referendum, Babis tweeted Wednesday.

"On Saturday I called with British Prime Minister @theresa_may. We've been dealing with #brexit. I told her that the best solution would be for the UK to stay in the European Union. That is why I am convinced that it is worth listing a new referendum," Babis tweeted.

May previously said the second referendum could mean that the UK would never leave the EU, which is not what the public voted for in 2016.

On Tuesday, the British parliament again rejected May's Brexit deal with a majority of votes. In Wednesday's vote, the British MPs will vote on the no-deal Brexit possibility.
