SKOPJE, March 28 (Xinhua) -- The Appellate court in North Macedonia decided Thursday to reduce by two years the prison terms for former interior minister Gordana Jankulovska.

The court reduced Jankulovska's jail terms to four years from six years.

In October 2018, the Criminal Court found her guilty of abusing power and authorizing the procurement procedure of a luxurious vehicle.

The trial for Jankulovska started at the end of August last year and it was separated from the other defendants due to her pregnancy.

In January 2017, the Special Public Prosecution in North Macedonia launched the investigation codenamed "Tank" regarding the purchase in 2012 of the "Mercedes C600" worth about 600,000 euros (681,000 U.S. dollars).

Former North Macedonian prime minister Nikola Gruevski, who was granted political asylum in Hungary, was sentenced to two years in prison in the same case.
